Sometimes in our day to day life we come across people who are bad maangers. It really demotivates when speaking to people of that sort.
My work requires interaction with a person of that kind who's attitude is as follows,
When you say that you've accomplished something (like a small work completed) thier reactions would be , instead of acknowledging/appreciating the work.
1) They'll trivialise the work by saying they've previously done this work in a much better way implicating we've not done anything new. Yes we do understand that you are experienced and we learn a lot from you , but trivilasing someone's work is not good management. There are better ways to put across the fact without trumpeting oneself in such situations esp when interacting with a subordinate.
2)Talking about other problems which are pending rather than acknowledging the work completed.Yes all of us are aware of what issues/problems are pending. You need not bring up all these at this time when all we need from you is a little appreciation for the work done.
3)Finding loopholes in the work done.Of course loopholes exists in everything. We need to find a way to fill the gap and we'll do it.Until then a little acknowledgment for the work done ,will it do any harm ?
4) There are also other types of managers i've come across who will give a lot of appreciation, but end the sentence with 'BUT'. For example You've done an excellent work on this project, you are a good leader, have good team skills BUT at the same time you should take initiative to complete things faster. The whole of first part of the sentence get negated as soon as we hear the 'BUT'
We remember nothing but the 'BUT's' when we come out of the meeting.
I feel good managers would never use the BUT word when motivating people. Some managers need to learn this !

How to remove bank hypothecation for car loans
Till now i used to think all govt offices work in a sluggish manner. But my last visit to the
Attapur RTO office has proved otherwise. I went to the RTO for removing the hypothecation of car on my RC book since i have pre-closed my bank loan.
To my surprise the process got over in 10 minutes time with absolutely no hassle.
So for hyderebaadi's who are looking for information on how to get the hypothecation removed
here goes the process,
1) Make sure that the Bank sends Form-35 along with the closure statement.
The Form comes attached with NOC to the Insurance company and the RTO
2) You'll need the following documents
*Original RC book
* Copy of valid Insurance
* Copy of valid Pollution certificate
3) Reach RTO and submit the above documents with FORM-35 and NOC's (original)
4)Pin up the documents alongwith a selfaddressed envelope(You'll get the envelope in the RTO office itself)
4) Pay 325 Rs (Fee-100/-,Service Charge=200/-,Tax-25/-)
5)Take the receipt.
and viola the changed RC book comes within a week's time by post. In my case it arrived in 4 days time.
Just ensure that the text 'Self Owned' is printed in the place of 'Hypothecated'.
So simple is the process !

Naturopathy - natural way to stay fit
Last 2 weeks i went to a place called Insitute of Naturopathy & yogic sciences (INYS) in bangalore. The institute provides naturopathy treatments for various ailments including obesity, migraine, knee pains, back pains etc
Believe it or not i lost 5 kgs in 14 days.
The kind of treatments include Oil massages,Steam rooms, sauna,Mustard Pack ,Under water Massages,Jacuzzi,Whirlpool bath,Immersion Bath,Epsom salt bath,Mud bath,Enima,Colon Hyderotherapy etc.The treaments are very reasonably priced.
As soon as one gets admitted to the institute ,the patient is referred to one doctor who'll maintain the patients diet/treatments through out the period of his/her stay.
The institue provides accomodation with costs ranging from Rs.300/day and upto 5000(for Suite accomodations).
Apart from treatments there are lots of activities to keep us busy the whole day which includes Yogas, Kriyas, Aerobics, Aqua Aerobics, Sky cycling, Reflexology track, Swimming, a nice 2km walking track.Evenings are occupied with cooking demos,Film sessions,Housie games and other cultural activities.
So if you want to break away from the stress of life for some days for a relaxing time alongwith naturopathy treaments then i would strongly suggest everyone to visit INYS ones and learn some healthy ways of living. Its a very disciplined institute.Usage of mobiles/laptops are restricted inside the campus.
